Jace a seventeen year old boy who is going to Mexico for his 18th birthday with his Mother, Aunt and 9 year old brother with autism. He has only one thing he wants to do while on his trip. While still being a virgin he wants to find a girl on the sunny beaches of Mexico. After his breakup with his girlfriend and his older brother Stephan committed suacide. Jace meets a girl named Kate. He thinks that Kate could be the one to help him lose his virginity. She leads him on only for her own enjoyment and not knowing how much she would hurt Jace by doing this.
One of the flaws of Jace in the book is that he is set on trying to get lucky and he would do almost anything for it to happen. Jace being as determined as he was made himself extremely gullible while Kate took advantage of him for that.
If you were to find out someone had taken advantage and lead you on like Kate did to Jace how would you react to this happening to you?
I would feel stupid for letting this happen to me then I would be filled with rage and I would want to get revenge on that person to show her the pain I felt. I know this is not the right thing to do but I would want that person to see what happens to people when you take advantage of them so they never do it again.
